Weeks in the planning and hours in the preparation, this year’s Christmas market was a spectacular end to the term with the sixth form tutor groups once again rising to the challenge of planning and running a stall.
We had more bakers than ever taking over the lovely cooking spaces in the Berkeley building making cookies, brownies, cupcakes, muffins, cookie dough and gingerbread for several evenings running up to the market. There were also games and activities aplenty with ‘beer’ pong, giant Jenga, the fabulous human fruit machine, glitter tattoos, guessing games and a tombola. When the rain subsided, Santa and his trusty reindeer sidekick delighted the younger students with flights around the site in his sleigh. The sixth form were also joined by enterprising year 7s and DT students from year 8 selling their creations.
As ever, talented musicians from across the school kept the crowds entertained with festive tunes. Thank you to everyone involved for helping to create such a festive end to the term.
