40 pupils in Years 7 and 8 have achieved medals in the junior mathematics challenge.
On Thursday 26 April, 80 pupils mostly from Year 8 and a few from Year 7 took the junior mathematics challenge, an hour long paper of problem solving questions. All the questions are challenging and can require ‘thinking outside the box’ to solve. It’s fantastic that half of our pupils have achieved a medal. There are 4 gold medal winners, 20 silver medallists and 16 bronze medal winners. Two pupils have done so well they are through to the next round of the competition.
