Tidings of Pleasure, Francesca Hartley
I once met a girl with a skip to her step, a dance to her toes and a song to her voice.
I asked her to sing and she did as I said, her melodies filling the starry night sky
Tears exploded for joy in my eyes as my hips began to sway
I ran and I jumped and I sang and I laughed like a puppy that just wants to play
She then took my hand and we danced the same moves and we sung the same songs and we hummed the same tunes
And soon the sun rose over the trees, making her hair sparkle gold in the light
