Our Sixth Form charity committee has once again joined forces with the Rotary Club of Cotswold Tyndale and filled more than 160 shoeboxes with gifts which will be distributed in Eastern Europe. Students in each tutor group donated the contents of two shoeboxes with many groups offering many more donations and filling more boxes. Thank you to everyone who donated to this special cause.
KLB students and Rotarians help spread Christmas cheer
SPREADING some Christmas cheer. . . Year 12 students at Katharine Lady Berkeley's School joined forces with the Rotary Club of Cotswold Tyndale and filled more than 160 shoeboxes with gifts which will be distributed in Eastern Europe.
A special fundraising committee was formed to organise the collection, with specific items such as toys, games, scarves and hats filling the shoeboxes which will be given to disadvantaged families in Moldova, Romania and Albania.
It’s part of a national Rotary initiative which last year saw 64,000 shoeboxes sent abroad.
