Summer Concert 2025

KLBMusic

The Summer Concert marked the end of the 2024–25 calendar for the Music Department and celebrated the close of our first full year in the new Berkeley Theatre. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase what they’ve been working on throughout the year, both as soloists and as part of our school ensembles.

This year’s theme, Carnival of the Animals, inspired a vibrant and varied programme. Many of the pieces had a link to the animal kingdom, creating a playful and engaging atmosphere for performers and audience alike.

Junior Voices delivered a touching performance of Blackbird, followed by a high-energy rendition of Roar by Katy Perry. Senior Voices impressed with their complex harmonies in The Tiger and The Circle of Life from The Lion King.

The orchestra brought the house down with The Pink Panther Theme, and even got the audience on their feet during The Birdie Song—with special thanks to Mr Wiltamuth for his enthusiastic encouragement.

We were also pleased to introduce our new brass teacher, Alan Swain, whose brass group performed Eye of the Tiger and the Wallace & Gromit Theme to great applause.

Congratulations to all the students who took part, and thank you to our warm and supportive audience for helping to make the evening such a success.
