There was a wonderful atmosphere at KLB School this morning as students returned to collect their A level results and share this special moment with their friends, families and the staff who supported them throughout their time at the school.
There were plenty of smiles, hugs and a few tears as students opened their envelopes and saw their hard work rewarded, opening the door to an exciting next chapter.
This year, over 13% of grades were awarded at A*, with 35% awarded at A* or A.
Hannah Khan, Headteacher, said: “We are absolutely delighted with these results. Our students have worked incredibly hard, and we are so proud of all they have achieved. They have contributed a great deal to KLB, and it has been a real pleasure to watch them grow during their time with us.
“A special thank you to Jane Campion for her leadership, care and support throughout the students’ time in the Sixth Form, and to the many teachers, tutors and associate staff who have taught, guided and supported them along the way. These results are a real team effort.
“Students are now progressing to a wide range of universities, apprenticeships, employment opportunities, art foundation courses and gap-year experiences. Whatever their next step, they leave KLB with our warmest congratulations and very best wishes for the future.
Ted (A*A*A*A*) and Bella (AAA), KLB’s Head Students. Ted was over the moon to be recognised as the highest attaining student in the country for PE.
Katie (A*A*A) will be studying Geography at Durham University.
Heidi (A*A*A) is off to Birmingham University to study Chemical Engineering.
Lewis (AAA) is off to study Modern Languages and Business Management at Manchester University.
Leyton (AAA) is excited to start his apprenticeship with Renishaw.
Toby (ABB) will be starting an apprenticeship with Rolls Royce. Ethan (A*A*AA) will be studying Architecture at Bath University.
Alice (AAA, A) will be studying Social Work at Sussex University.
Celebrating with her parents, Lizzie (A*A*A*A*, A) can’t wait to start her Natural Science degree at Cambridge University.
Nina (A*AA) was delighted with her results and is now planning her gap year before starting university in 2027.
Pictured with Ted (centre) is Harvey (A*A*A*) who has a place to study Economics at Durham University, along with Sam (A*A*A*) who will be studying Chemical Physics at Bristol. All three boys are planning to spend their gap years working as Support Mentors at KLB.
The Sixth Form Open Evening will take place on Thursday 19 November 2026.
