This week has seen KLB join in with one of the largest festivals on earth, celebrating the Lunar New Year! We have spent the week enjoying Chinese themed food in the canteen, practicing Chinese calligraphy, creating lanterns, learning about the zodiac animals and the history of the Lunar New Year celebrations, as well as undertaking Lunar themed tasks in curriculum lessons. We have also been sending Hóngbāo envelopes containing notes of good luck and hope for the year ahead. The students have clearly enjoyed learning about and celebrating a different cultural event; this is all part of our focus on improving the knowledge, awareness and celebration of diversity in everything we do here at KLB.
