Year 10 students had a fantastic day at West Midlands Safari Park, after waiting a very long time for their end of Year 9 trip.
The students’ patience was rewarded with an ever-brightening day and clear views of the vast array of animals from across the continents. We were all mesmerised by the magnificent and rare white lions and tigers, and somewhat grateful to be in a coach.
Happily, the safari park wasn’t the end of the fun; we then enjoyed a few hours in the theme park. Every cloud has a silver lining, and being September rather than July, we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. Students (and staff) were able to enjoy the rides without long queues, and made the most of the day.
Although this trip was intended for Year 9, we were delighted to have the opportunity for Year 10 students to have a reward for their excellent start to their new courses. Feedback from staff has been overwhelmingly positive, so students should be very proud of themselves for such a great beginning to GCSEs.
