The event was a one day Inter-Schools NSEA Competition on Saturday 11th May, Stonar School, Wilts.

Ella Woolls-Lewis with Conker & Ellie Cooper with Reggie entered the 80cm Class. There were over 100 riders in their Class so the Class was split into four sections. The day started with a Dressage Test, following by a 10 fence Show Jumping Course then finished with a 17 fence, timed, Cross Country Course.

Both Ella & Ellie achieved a successful Dressage Test. Next was the Show Jumping. Unfortunately Ella took a tumble out the side door when Conker stopped at a fence. Even more disappointing was that she wasn’t allowed to continue and do the XC. A real shame.

Ellie managed a Clear Round on the Show Jumping, followed by a Clear Round out on the XC Course. A few tricky fences meant that Ellie nearly came off but managed to gain control and her stirrups! The XC Course was timed which meant you had to ride within a specified time window otherwise you gained time penalties. Ellie & Reggie achieved this, coming first in their Class section & third overall. An excellent achievement. Ellie and Reggie have now qualified for the National Schools ODE Championships taking place at Stonar in early September 2019.
