Year 12 UCAS Exhibition visit 2023

Sixth FormTrips

Term 5 sees Year 12 students embark purposefully on the exploration of future opportunities for further education and career pathways. As such, on Wednesday 26 April, the Year 12 cohort attended the UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) Exhibition at the International Convention Centre in Newport, Wales. This staple of the sixth form future plans calendar is a great opportunity for students to investigate the range of higher education opportunities available to them.

Many students commented on the usefulness of the day, finding inspiration as well as information from engaging presentations and informal discussions. Additionally, of course, there were plenty of freebies to collect! As well as returning with armfuls of prospectuses, they were also sporting an impressive array of sunglasses, tote bags, coffee cups, sun hats and pens.

This initial research will now be further progressed with a programme of activities, including those being delivered during tutor sessions, assemblies and their Future Plans day. Exciting times ahead!
