KLB have been exploring the Hindu festival of Holi which is celebrated all over India and around the world. It is a spring festival of love and new life that marks the end of winter in the Hindu religion. Bright colours, dancing and singing are particular features of the festival.

Our Diversity group has prepared a whole school series of events and activities to help the celebration with an informative assembly from Mr Jones, colourful food in the canteen, colour-based activities in tutor time, spring cleaning activities and finally a huge colourful display that will take pride of place outside the school.

The photos show some of our year 7 students getting involved with adding Holi colour to the display. All year groups, and staff, have been invited to come and place their hand in colourful paint and then stamp it onto our huge PROUD TO BE artwork. Watch this space for the finished display next term!
