Year 10 design and technology resistant materials students visited Renishaw plc at New Mills in Wotton-under-Edge to participate in a STEM workshop. Students received a presentation of the company’s origins and the first product they designed and manufactured, through to current day products.

Renishaw staff introduced the students to a Computer Aided Design (CAD) based so that they had the opportunity to highlight their existing CAD skills by designing and manufacturing a product on the range of 3D printers.

Students thoroughly enjoyed the activity and were excited to witness a cutting-edge engineering business on their doorstep.
