An exciting update for the art teachers and students is the addition of five new iPads within the department. We are using these fundamentally as a teaching tool, allowing teachers to project demonstrations to classes.

We also run an iPad club every Wednesday where students from a variety of year groups learn how to use Procreate and explore digital art. At the club students share the school ipads or bring their own. The iPad is a great way to explore digital creativity, share techniques and for students from mixed year groups to share the same space and to work together.

A few of our GCSE and A level art students have their own iPads too. They are more frequently using digital art in designing, drawing and combining with handmade techniques to create outcomes. We are looking forward to seeing how the use of technology develops and supports the creative process and student work.
