After winning our local Utilita U13’s Girl’s tournament, our KLB team were selected to represent Forest Green Rovers (FGR) in the next round of the cup. We were all given a FGR kit to wear/keep and went on to play Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Exeter and Newport. Although we did not get to progress to the next round, we were extremely privileged to be invited to a League Two FGR game on Saturday the 22nd of January against Carlisle United. We were also able to walk onto the pitch at half time to receive a winning pennant presented by Henry Staelens, FGR CEO, featured on the right. It was a great experience that was finished off with a 3:0 win for FGR FC. It was a brilliant match to watch, great football, and an amazing atmosphere. We were so close to the action it almost felt like we were on the pitch. We really enjoyed being able to represent KLB at these events.
