In recent days, the government has tightened the rules set out to contain the spread of COVID-19. Everyone should be staying at home, except for some very specific cases. To enable critical responders to carry out their key worker duties, schools have been asked to extend their current offer over the Easter holiday period. This is to ensure that the country can continue the essential efforts in response to the coronavirus situation.
As you will understand, this is an additional challenge for us in already difficult circumstances so we need to work with you to plan what this could look like. We are keen to support families but we must continue to apply the government’s strict rules on social distancing.
We know that parents will have made childcare arrangements for the Easter holiday period; but also know that circumstances might have changed since you considered what this could look like for your family.
We are hoping to provide a programme in school on the following days:
- Monday 6 April
- Tuesday 14 April
- Tuesday 7 April
- Wednesday 15 April
- Wednesday 8 April
- Thursday 16 April
- Thursday 9 April
- Friday 17 April
Please confirm by Wednesday (please email firstname.lastname@example.org rather than using the school email address) confirming the dates and reason(s) for the request.
I will contact parents requesting this support with further details later in the week.
