Henry Dobson in Year 9 did a fantastic job of organising a Macmillan Coffee Morning cake sale to raise money for the charity. The sale was held on Friday 27 September, the official Macmillan Coffee Morning day.
Earlier this month, Henry contacted Macmillan to let them know about his fundraising intentions and the charity organised fundraising kits and decorations. Henry and three friends (Ella Wools-Lewis, Jack Blakey and Harvey Skuse) used these to set up their stand.
The team spent the week baking and asking their other Year 9 friends to get busy in their kitchens and donate as many cakes as possible. The support from the other children in Year 9 was fantastic. There were some who boosted sales by bringing in their own home made goodies and others who donated their spare change for the cause.
Henry and his fundraising team managed to raise over £95 on the day. Well done to them all.
