A great week of sport for this school this week, our students commitment and participation levels for schools clubs and fixtures continue to impress us.
The girls highlight of the sporting week has to go the Y7 girls netball squad. They took part in a house netball tournament with St Peters School. It was wonderful to see so many students representing the school, most importantly having great fun doing so!
The boys highlight of the week goes to our U13 boys handball team after they qualified for the county finals after a superb victory over Marling School. We are so grateful to the number of hours that our students, Sharon Bates and Matt Durber put into the handball programme. It is great to see their endeavours right rewarded. The county finals will take place later this academic year.
Sport at present is experiencing a very difficult time as it rightly puts the health and wellbeing of the country’s population as a priority. We have already experienced some disruption to our programme for next week. Our students health and wellbeing is our top priority and we are taking every possible measure to ensure that this is the case. We are following the advice of various sporting governing bodies as well as working with other schools to ensure the health and safety of all students.
